1. What is Self-Enumeration? Self-Enumeration is a facility that allows you to fill in the details regarding your household and residence yourself, online. You do not have to wait for an Enumerator to visit your home and conduct the inquiry in person. Time Required:
It takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.
2. How to Perform Self-Enumeration? (Step-by-Step Process)
Registration: Visit the portal and enter your mobile number and the CAPTCHA code. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your mobile number.
Fill in Details: After logging in, select your State, District, and Address.
Household and Housing Information: You will be asked 33 questions pertaining to the status of your house, available amenities (electricity, water, toilet facilities), and assets owned by the household (bicycle, TV, internet access, etc.).
Submission and SE ID: Upon submitting the form, you will receive a unique Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID). Please keep this ID safe.
Verification: When the Census Enumerator visits your home, you simply need to show them this SE ID. They will then sync your data, eliminating the need for you to verbally provide and re-enumerate all the information again.
